About ARTemis and its owner, Sam.

Why Artemis Pole Studio?

Passionate about all forms of art, Sam, the founder of ARTemis Pole Studio, chose the name to reflect her vision of strength, independence, and fearlessness, embodied by the goddess Artemis. At Artemis Pole Studio (APS), we view pole dance as more than just exercise; it is a transformative journey that empowers individuals to embrace their inner Artemis—the goddess of the hunt and moon. Emphasizing individuality, fitness, and confidence, APS provides a friendly and safe environment for everyone eager to elevate their skills.

Our goal is to create a space where everyone can follow their intuition and expression, free from judgment or societal constraints. We believe in the right to pursue one's passions, regardless of how others react, just like Artemis.

Sam deeply resonated with the essence of Artemis. Inspired by the goddess, she crafted a competition routine centred around Diana, another name for Artemis, and won the professional title in 2022. This victory solidified her passion for pole dance as a form of art and self-expression.

Mission & Vision

Our vision is to create a community hub for pole dancers and movement artists in London and Online. People from all backgrounds can reunite together to celebrate their passion, explore movement and find their true artistry. ARTemis Pole Studio is the place where empowerment, creativity, and self-expression lead inspiring individuals to dream big, work hard, and make their aspirations a reality.

Our mission is to provide a safe and inclusive space where individuals can express themselves authentically, pursue their dreams to become reality in the pole industry. By fostering a community built on the values of authenticity, creativity and inclusivity, we strive to create an environment where individuals feel supported to push their physical boundaries. We are in a mission to deliver high-quality pole dance instruction, with a variety of international guest instructors along with the resident ones.

Meet the Studio Owner

Who is Sam

Samantha is a Pole Coach as well as the owner of APS with over 5 years of experience in the fitness and pole industry  and over 12 years of ballet & Jazz training, with a first class honours in BSc Sports&Dance Therapy and an academic researcher in Pole Biomechanics.

Sam loves ART and SCIENCE, affirming that both should work together to unlock full potential for each individual. She is always up-to-date on the Fitness and Physiotherapy industry and, over the years, she gained many certificates and CPDs courses that led her to be fully trained in few different fields.

She is a PBT (Ballet technique) teacher, a Mobility & Flexibility Coach (Spincity), a Personal Trainer (NASM), a Group Exercise Instructor (AFAA), a TRX Instructor and a former F45 Trainer.

Sam actually began dancing when she was just three years old. Her goal, like that of so many other young people, was to become a professional ballerina. She decided to stop ballet at the age of 16, and she didn't dance again for about ten years. Then, when she attended her first Pole dance class, her childhood dream started to materialise. She aims to inspire others to have the same level of confidence in their own abilities now that she has attained her ideal position.

She sustained a shoulder injury back in june 2022, which gave her the opportunity to learn more about pre- and post-rehabilitation for Pole athletes.

She enjoys sharing her enthusiasm, the artistic and technical skills with her students and celebrate their achievements.

She adores interacting with others and believes that the community has a significant influence on our lives. She is passionate about empowering others to reach their own objectives, enjoy being fit, and release tension via exercise.

What They Say About Us

POLE CLASS

"I was apprehensive about trying Pole for years. Finally I saw Sam’s page and I thought let’s give Artemis a try. It was one of the best decision of my life. Sam was attentive from the get go, even before I stepped foot in to her studio. She messaged me and talk to me about my injury at the time. Now five months later, I keep coming back because of how supportive, technical and energetic her classes are. She encourages you and pushes you when you’re upside down and you were terrified. I never thought I stick to Pole dancing, but Sam changed my mind. I highly recommend her to all beginners who want to try pole for the first time and for intermediate/advanced people who want to compete she’s a phenomenal teacher."
